If you have recently become engaged to the love of your life and are now getting ready to start planning your big wedding day, you are probably starting to realize all the work ahead of you. Typically, the bride will think of the friends to choose for her bridal party, what type of wedding to have, the cake, the dresses, flowers, and photography, but often overlook a very important aspect of every wedding beauty. Just as you plan every other aspect of your wedding, be sure to keep beauty as a part of your planning too. This is what is going to make you look fabulous on your big day and help you not become stressed.
Six Months
About six months before your wedding, you need to find a hair stylist that can do the type of hairstyle you want, if you do not already have a stylist. This is the time to have different styles tried out to determine which is best for you and if you already know the type of veil or headpiece, bring that with you. If not, you will need to come back once it has been chosen. Have your stylist start your hair on a care routine that would consist of deep conditioning. If you have any skin problems or concerns, this is the time to talk to a dermatologist as well.
Four Months
About four months before your wedding day, you should start getting hand and feet treatments for your nails and stress. For example, start having pedicures and manicures and you might even try seeing a reflexology. You want to get your hands in the best shape possible so that just prior to the wedding, either your natural nails or acrylic nails can be their best. You also need to focus on your arms and chest if you are wearing a strapless dress. By visiting the gym at least three times a week to do some specific exercises, you will be fit and trim, and look wonderful.
Three Months
Visit your dentist and make an appointment for both you and the groom to have your teeth whitened. Depending on the solution you choose, you will need to start this anywhere from two to for months out. Get yourself on a good skincare regimen. Buy quality facial cleanser, toner, and moisturizer. You might also consider having weekly facials so your face will look fresh and radiant. Also, choose good body washes and moisturizers so your skin is silky soft.
Two Months
When you have four weeks to go, visit a makeup artist and start experimenting with different styles. Remember to keep your makeup natural with just a hint of color. You also need to set up an appointment with your hair stylist to work with your veil and/or headpiece. Additionally, be sure you drink plenty of water, which will help your complexion. Although most people do not think of this and it may be difficult, be sure you get to bed at a decent hour. Good rest will help you feel better, look better, and enjoy your wedding better.
Two Weeks
About two weeks out, any highlights or color in your hair should be touched up and your hair should be trimmed. Pamper yourself with a massage (or two) and a facial. If you need to have, your eyebrows shaped, this is the time to do it and the same would be true with any waxing.
One Day
Finally, the day before your big day have one final manicure. Sit back with a glass of wine and a good book, and curl up and relax. After all the things you have been planning, you certainly deserve it.
The last thing you want to do is have an emergency kit. You hear too often of the last minute disaster and to avoid this for your own wedding, you can put a simple bag together that could be a real lifesaver. Items would include:
- Safety Pins
- Needle and Thread
- Makeup Remover
- Hair Spray
- Hair Pins
- Hairbrush and Comb
- Eye Drops
- Face Powder
- Lotion
