Wedding Reception Tips

The postlude is the period of music that is played after the bridal party has left and the guests are being dismissed. Typically the guests are dismissed row by row. Moreover, it is difficult for the guests to leave the ceremony hall quickly as often the receiving line backs up the entrace to the hall. The person in charge of the postlude should provide some low key, yet festive music for the guests as they are waiting to leave. The music should typically encourage interaction between the guests and also should not be too loud and boisterous.
