On the wedding day, it is important to for the grrom to look good. Amid the flashing photographer, the guests, the bride, and the elegance of the day, it is also important for the groom to stand out from his groomsman. While the groom needs to stand out, typically, there needs to be a good deal of consistency across with the groom and his groomsman. This article will explore ways that the the groom can use to differentiate himself when he is with his groomsman. The article will provide tips on what to do and what not to do - and will also provide tips on how to arrange some of these items.
One of the first ways for the groom to diferentiate himself from his groomsman is to wear a completely diferent tux than the groomsman. This option can work however, the danger is if the tux clashes with the other groomsman's outfits or if it does not match the decor or wedding dress. If you are going to choose this option, one way to do this is by having the groom wear a white tux (to match the bridal dress) and the groomsman wear black tuxes. This provides a black and white look that can match almost any decor. The main warning if you are having a different tux color or style is to do it carefully.
Another way to vary the dress of the groom is to alter a portion of the groom's clothing. The groom will still maintain the sam tux style as his groomsman, however, the groom will wear a different style or color of tie, cumberbun or vest. This type of variation, preserves the overall harmony of the wedding party, but still designates the groom as the groom. Again, using this option it is most common to have one or more of these items be white on the groom while these items are another color on the groomsman. If you shoose a color other than white, you should be careful that the color does not clash with other p[eople in the wedding party. This option is one of the most common options for a groom to select.
The final way to provide some variation, is a simple yet elegant way. This involves altering the flower type that is pinned on to the side of the tux. Typically this flower will vary in color. The groomsman flowers will usually be a solid color where the groom's flower will be white. This preserves the unity amoung groomsman, but still allows the groom to be differentiated in a subtle way. This variation can also be done by varying the size of the flower or both size and color of the flower for the wedding ceremony and reception.
