Years ago, wedding photography was limited. As technology has advanced, the quality and enhancements now available for weddings is astounding. If you are getting married, you want to work with a reputable photographer who has expertise in creating the most amazing photographs possible.

Digital Cameras
With digital cameras coming on the scene in recent y ears, you can have friends or family taking their own photographs that can later be uploaded on the Internet and shared. With a digital camera, you do not have to be a professional since you can see the photograph being taken and make necessary adjustments before shooting. If you do not like the result, you can delete and redo.

Disposable Cameras
An excellent option is to set one or two disposable cameras on each of the guest tables. This gives guests the opportunity to get into the fun by taking their own pictures. They can also see things that you would miss. Once you get these photographs developed, you can see your reception from another viewpoint.

Infrared Film
This style of photography is trendy and has become a favorite of many, and can be taken in color or black and white. This camera is designed to respond to infrared light, with the film creating an unusual shift in color and dreamy glow.

Photo Booths
You can now rent photo booths like those that you find in retail stores where the wedding guests can grab someone and take pictures. Although there is a small fee involved, it is something that everyone enjoys.

Polaroid Guestbook
Ask someone to stand by the guest book attendant and take Polaroids of each guest as the guestbook is signed. Then, underneath the photo, each guest can write a brief statement to the bride and groom. Once all the photographs are taken, you can save them in a special portfolio that can be enjoyed for many years.

Fisheye Lens
Photographers today use special lens that can add effects to wedding photographs. One commonly used is a fisheye lens that distorts the edges of the photograph, giving it a rounded, softened effect. Other specialty lens can create mirrored images of glowing candle flames in yellow, red, and green. When meeting with the photographer, ask what options are available.
