More and more, people getting married want to add a touch of creativity to their wedding, something different from a traditional wedding, garden wedding, or a quick trip to a Las Vegas chapel. An incredible option is to plan a country wedding. For this type of wedding, you can get married in a church, or preferably outdoors in a beautiful green pasture or field. If you decide to have your wedding outdoors, make your country wedding extra special.
A great combination for the groom's men, and ring bearer is a nice western, long-tail black tuxedo, with red cummerbund, bolo tie, ropers, and black cowboy hats. For the groom, he would wear the same outfit but add a nice pair of leather chaps to complete his look. For the maid of honor, bride's maids, and flower girl, red, fringed western dresses, black boots, and black cowgirls hats with red bands is stunning. The bride can wear a white, fringed western dress, white cowgirl boots, and a white cowgirl hat with white feathers.
Since no one can predict the weather months in advance, if you have chosen to get married in a green pasture or field, have a large green, open tent reserved just in case the weather decides to rain. For transporting the bride and groom to the reception, an impressive option is a white carriage, pulled by two white horses with red and black braids on the mane and tail, and the carriage driver wearing a black tuxedo and cowboy hat. For the wedding party, a hayride wagon drawn by two black horses would complete the trip beautifully.
If possible, have the reception close by in another pasture or field. Using the same color scheme, have several tents set up and decorated with hanging plants mixed with flowers. You can rent a wooden dance floor large enough for all the guests to kick up their heels to some boot stomping, country western music. For seating, bales of hay with carpet samples on top sitting around and a few white folding chairs for people that need to sit in a chair with a back is the perfect seating for after dining. Lighted torches dotting the area around the tent within safe distance adds a nice touch of elegance.
Drape a white tablecloth on each of the tables and then alternate flower bouquets and Mason jar candleholders down the length of each table. Then on each corner of the dance floor, set beautiful terra cotta pots with plants and flowers. For the bride and groom table, add fragrant honeysuckle vines on a tall piece of white lattice on either side to create a wonderful visual and an amazing sweet aroma. Set up a couple horse troughs filled with ice to keep the pop and beer cold and for dinner, serve barbecue, baked beans, corn on the cob, cornbread, coleslaw, and homemade lemonade. If your budget can accommodate, consider hiring a company to give a fireworks display. With some planning, you can have an amazing country wedding that no one will forget.
