Todays couples are getting more creative when it comes arranging weddings. You will find that all aspects of the wedding are unique and completed with a personal touch. Wedding invitations are a perfect example in that more and more, these are being made rather than store bought.
To make beautiful, romantic, fun, clever, or themed wedding invitations, the main thing you need is a computer and a simple program. In fact, many computer programs are already installed on the computer and to create an impressive invitation, all you need is some paper, and a little imagination. Photoshop is one program that is easy to use and ideal for making invitations, or if you prefer, visit your local computer store and locate numerous other software programs.
Along with the computer, you will need to purchase some card stock, which can be found at your local office supply, stationary store, or art supply store. If your wedding will be more on the formal side, you should stick with white or cream color whereas for themed weddings, you can use bright colors and designs. If your computer only has the standards fonts and nothing that strikes your fancy, these too can be downloaded off the Internet. Visit . HYPERLINK "http://www.google.com" ..www.google.com. and type in downloadable fonts.
If you have an artistic streak, you can create your own style with graphics, photographs, or freehand designs. If you have great ideas but not the creative talent, you can purchase clip art and photograph packages where you can choose various items to include on your invitations. For instance, if your wedding will be held on a beach, you might choose a sandy colored paper and on the front, include a romantic picture of a couple strolling hand in hand on the sand. Then on the inside, you could add various seashell designs.
Choose envelopes that coordinate with the color or theme or your wedding invitation and once you have them all stuffed and hand addressed, choose a coordinating wax and seal to close the envelop flap. This wax and seal can also be purchased from stationary or art supply stores, and provides a nice decorative and inexpensive touch.
To add a final embellishment, you can use a hole punch to put a small hole at one corner of the envelop and then thread a thin ribbon through. Other ways to accessorize is to use the hot seal wax on the interior of the invitation and glue down appropriate trinkets. To get great ideas, check at your local craft or hobby store.
Making your own wedding invitations is easy, fun, and gives that personal touch that makes everyone feel welcomed to celebrate your special day!
