Different types of weddings have different traditions as well as different characteristics. Like other brides and grooms, you want the wedding to be something very special that will offer all of the guests a memorable day of happiness, sharing, and pure joy.
Wedding bells are small-sized bells that range from one to two inches in height. Typically, the wedding bell contains a small ringer in the middle and when shaken like a normal bell, a gentle fringing sound is produced. This sound is pleasant and not loud and obnoxious as you might find with some bells. A wedding bell also has a small hole near the top where a string or ribbon can be looped through in order to mount if you like. You can purchase wedding bells in packages of 12 or 24 at your local bridal store, discount retail chain, or even a paper warehouse that sells bridal supplies.
The wedding bell is used at the wedding reception, offering a pretty and unique table decoration. Because they are small and come in silver or gold, they blend in nicely with any color or theme. Place the wedding bell just above and to the right of each plate. In addition to the enhancement that the wedding bells provide to the table setting, they also have a practical function.
Wedding bells can be used as a means of getting the newly married couple's attention. Much as you would find at a Greek wedding reception where the plates and glasses are tapped with the fork to get attention or to suggest the bride and groom kiss, the wedding bell serves the same purpose. The advantage over the fork banging against glass is that they eliminate the possibility of broken glass and someone getting hurt. The wedding bell can also keep bored children busy since the noise is not annoying.
Additionally, wedding bells are very affordable and tasteful. For such an inexpensive investment, the bells provide a nice touch of elegance. This is just one of those final touches that add that extra spice into the wedding reception celebration. The wedding bell has become increasingly popular in the past few years and will bring one more touch of magic to your incredible day.
