Wedding cameras or disposable cameras are an excellent way to capture the memories of a wedding reception. Wedding cameras are typically placed on the tables prior to the reception. When the guests arrive at the reception, they will see the cameras and will typically be instructed by a DJ or master of ceremonies to take candid shots of other people at their tables using the cameras on the tables. Once the pictures are taken, the cameras are typically left on the table by the guests and collected after the reception. The film can then be developed at any time after the reception and the pictures are delivered to the bride and groom.

The decision whether or not to use wedding cameras sometimes can be a tricky one. If a wedding already has a photographer standing by at the reception, then the cameras may seem redundant. However, one thing to remember is that typically when the wedding is over, you can never have too many pictures. Plus, the pictures your guests will take will be from a unique perspective - a perpective that a photographer may have difficulty capturing. Wedding cameras can also help if you have an especially large wedding and may be concerned that a photographer may not be able to cover the entire reception. The pictures that are taken at the reception are typically action shots and show your guest have a good time. They also serve as reminders of your wedding day.

In terms of selecting appropriate wedding cameras, one thing to typically keep in mind is that whiter is better. Since it is a wedding and the cameras are going to be on the tables, the cameras also need to match the decor of the recption. Typically wild yellow colored cameras do not do service to the tables and the reception colors. We typically recomend cameras with a white body - these are popular since they match any decor. Moreover, you should try to get cameras that are white all the way through, not black or colored and then colored with a piece of white cardboard. Typically these white cameras can be slightly more expensive, however, the touch of elegance is usually worth it.
