There is nothing more beautiful or romantic than a wedding held on one of
the beautiful islands of Hawaii. Just imagine standing on the sand,
overlooking the ocean with the sunset painting the perfect backdrop. After
the wedding, you can simply stay on the island to continue the honeymoon.
When it comes to planning your wedding and honeymoon in Hawaii, you will want
to explore several options to find the perfect package and price. An excellent
choice would be to stay at the Starwood Hotel and Resort, located on Waikiki
Beach in south Oahu. The location is breathtaking and this hotel offers
several affordable packages. For example, you could book an ocean view room
that comes with champagne and chocolate-dipped strawberries. As an added
bonus, you will enjoy a beautiful catamaran sail and romantic dinner for two.
The Sheraton Princess Kaiulani Hotel, also located in Waikiki, is another
perfect choice that has been hosting weddings and honeymoons for many years.
This hotel is a garden oasis and just steps from the beach. The rooms are
deluxe and offer a beautiful view of the ocean. You will also enjoy an
intimate in-room breakfast, dinner show, and special tickets to a
Polynesian show. One other option is the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel, located on
Maui. This luxurious hotel faces out onto an amazing three-mile stretch of
pristine, white sand. Every guest is provided a magnificent private bungalow
where they can enjoy their honeymoon in luxury and serenity. The Kaanapali
Beach Hotel, located in West Maui, is another oceanfront resort on this very
famous beach. In fact, this beach hotel is recognized as Hawaii's most
Hawaiian Hotel. They offer a wonderful Romance Package that includes five
nights in a room overlooking the ocean, compact rental car, and much more!
Hawaii's climate is beautiful any time of year, making it an ideal place to
be married outside. There are gentle breezes and the skies are sunny almost
all the time. Even on the days when it rains, it is just a quick gentle rain
that lasts only a few minutes. The year-round temperature averages 78 degrees,
even during the winter. Be sure to take lots of casual clothing such as shorts
and swimsuits since you will probably spend most of your time touring the
island or swimming.
For your marriage license, it will remain valid for 30 days. There is no
waiting period required and no blood test. Additionally, you do not have to
be a resident in order to file for a marriage license. The bride and groom
will need to apply for the license together, paying a cash fee of $60. Be
sure to bring a valid driver's license or ID card and as long as you are 19
years old or older, you will not require permission from a parent or guardian.
Hawaii is perfect for any wedding, formal or semi-formal.
